In every agency or workplace, systematic financial management is essential to ensuring operational success.
And for an agency like the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), which is led by Administrator Engr. Eddie G. Guillen, remains committed to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity, the NIA Financial Management Department, guided by Deputy Administrator of Administrative and Finance Sector Robert Victor G. Seares, Jr., and spearheaded by Manager Milca B. Cayanga, hosted its recognition program to honor NIA finance personnel nationwide for their outstanding financial management for CY 2024, at the NIA Conventional Hall, June 26, 2025.
In the said event, the NIA Region III is again bagging three awards, specifically:
- PPE Cleansing Champion Award
- Most Reliable Financial Statements Award
- AAPSI Champion - Rank 2
These awards were made possible due to the unwavering efforts of Administrative and Finance Division Manager Rochelle R. Cervantes, Chief of Finance Section Emily G. Echavarria, and the rest of the Finance Staff, and backed up with full support of our Regional Director Engr. Josephine B. Salazar.
Their commitment to maintaining reconciled records in accounting and property management, and making sure a reduced, to no, audit findings on financial concerns contributed greatly to these remarkable achievements.
These are just a few examples of how our office strive for excellence in serving the farmers and the community.
