ADMINISTRATOR VISAYA INSPECTED AARD

NIA Administrator, General Ricardo R. Visaya (Ret.) inspected the on-going construction of the Angat Afterbay Regulator (Bustos Dam) located in Barangay Tibagan, Bustos, Bulacan on June 7, 2017.

The AARD is the largest Rubber dam in the Philippines, which is now under rehabilitation. San Fernando, Pampanga. The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Office 3 with office address at Tambubong, San Rafael, Bulacan conducted the Joint NIA-IA Congress at Bren Z. Guiao Gymnasium, City of San Fernando, Pampanga bears the theme “NIA at MagsasakaMagkatuwangsaSerbisyoTungosaPagbabago”. The occassion took place 5 of April 2017.

NIA COOP TURNS 29

It is the day of lovers. Hearts day as many say, but it is a very important day for the NIA Region 3 Multipurpose Cooperative because it is the day of its birth. The cooperative celebrating 29 years of service to its members. Nearly 300 NIA employees/members attended the celebration in a green shirt provided by the cooperative. Fifty (50) packs of assorted groceries were given away in between the parts of the program.

PUMP IRRIGATION... IS THE ANSWER

During this period of dry months of summer season wherein irrigation water is negligible in most places with no existing irrigation system, pump irrigation is the quickest method of acquiring dependable water supply and of course, is far more reliable.

The new NIA Administrator Peter Tiu Lavina introduced Blowing Bubbles as a new way of welcoming the New Year. It was a simultaneous affair of the National Irrigation Administration nationwide to blow bubbles right after the conduct of Flag Raising Ceremony. Its objective is blow away negativities and let it flown by the wind until it finally popped in the midair.

CHRISTMAS PARTY, THE WESTERN WAY

As the sun rises on December 22, 2016 cowboys and cowgirls arrive at the perimeter of NIA Region 3 Office, as if there is a battle in the west. Every employee wore gorgeous western attire to attend the 2016 NIA Regionwide Christmas Party.  And take note, even our partner Irrigators Association was also present and celebrated the party.

After the meetings and visits of the incoming NIA Administrator in the Central Office, Peter Tiu Lavina together with the NIA Officer-in-Charge, Diosdado A. Rosales visited the Office of the Upper Pampanga River Integrated Irrigation System (UPRIIS) in Cabanatuan City then afterwards visited the Pantabangan Dam in the Municipality of Pantabangan in Nueva Ecija. November 21 to 25, 2016 - It was the first assessment of NIA Drupal websites held at the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio City.
