R3 STAKEHOLDERS’ FORUM AURORA

A week after the Stakeholders’ Forum in Bataan, NIA Region 3 conducted the same in AMCO Hotel and Beach Resort in the municipality of Baler, province of Aurora on February 9, 2018.

The forum was commenced with the prayer led by the Municipal Parish priest, Rev. Fr. Andres A. Lumasac. While welcoming was made by the Baler Municipal Mayor, Hon. Nelianta C. Bihasa.

In the province of Bataan, the forum was conducted on January 25, 2018 at Las Marianas Restaurant in the Municipality of Bataan. The forum was attended by the Honorable Mayor Liberato P. Farmer’s Training Center SERVES

PAIS NRPW:

After years of waiting, finally, the NIA Region 3 Farmers Training Center turned into reality when its construction and furnishing was completed before the end of the year 2017. The management made sure that the building be of use in the coming year of the Dog, 2018.

PINWHEEL... OPENING OF THE YEAR

To welcome the year of 2018, NIA employees and officials nationwide simultaneously spin a whirligig or much known as Pinwheel. A new way of saying hello to the first working hour of the year.

The symbolic meaning of a pinwheel is “to turn one’s luck around?” Chinese culture believes the pinwheel is an instrument to turn obstacles into opportunities, thus it has a close relationship to NIA’s adopted new theme “Transforming Challenges into Infinite Opportunities.

NIA R3 FTC, NOW A REALITY

After years of pending construction due to scarcity of fund allocation, finally on November 30, 2017, the NIA Region 3 Farmers Training Center was completed. The 15-bedroom building was completed with complete amenities. It is likewise fully furnished and now is ready for use.

2017 OPERATION CANAL MAINTENANCE VISITATION

As a traditional activity of NIA Region 3, the once a year Operation: Canal Maintenance Visitation was conducted by the key personnel in the region. The objective of the activity is to find out which system/IMO is complying for the cleanliness and maintenance of the irrigation canals and its appurtenant facilities.
